Our names are Courtney Lloyd and Dee Dee Stephens. We are friends who met while pursuing our MFA degrees in acting at USC. Since graduating, we have been acting and performing stand-up comedy in LA and the Bay Area. We are not affiliated with or representing any other organization. We simply wanted to find a way to make a larger donation than either one could do individually so we reached out to our larger acting community.

We are grateful to all the artists who participated. A special thank you goes to Danielle Johnson who joined our team as an editor.

The goal of this project is to use art to help affect change. We asked over 60 artists to express their feelings about George Floyd and countless others who have been victims of police brutality and systemic racism. We then put all the content together in a series of videos, each lasting exactly 8 minutes and 46 seconds. This time stamp represents more than just one officer’s knee on one man’s neck, it is also a symbolic number that represents a wide awakening to the systemic injustices plaguing the black community. We are now sharing these compilation videos with the world to raise money and awareness for ‘Color of Change’ (https://colorofchange.org) and other organizations.

Thank you for visiting our page. Please join the effort.
